Archives held at the Hamilton Kerr Institute

Introduction

Archives at the HKI The Hamilton Kerr Institute holds a number of archives relating to conservation in addition to a personal archive of Sir Hamilton Kerr, M.P. The conservation related archives fall into three categories; materials, practice and images.

Appointments may be made to view the Roberson Archive and you may apply to study the Winsor & Newton archive. However, until plans for more archive space have developed further, we are unable to offer access to the remaining archives. We plan to provide increased online access to all of the archives. Currently we are seeking funding to digitise the Roberson archive, in addition to our work on an online cross-sections resource. We hope that the archives centre will go ahead as planned as part of the University celebrating 800 years of its history.

The links to the left provide a little more information on each of the archives. The links to the right lead to the relevant project areas on this website.
