Jim Murrell

26 February 1934 – 15 June 1994

The Archive of Jim Murrell was donated by his wife, Ann Murrell Balantyn in June 1999. Jim Murrell was conservator of miniatures at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The archive comprises files of reports and slides. The archive is of interest to the History of Conservation as well as providing a reference source for the conservation treatment of a number of objects. His obituary, originally printed in the November 1994 edition of Conservation News is reproduced here.
